Carl at Ramsbottom Cycles has over 20years experience and is Cytech level 3 qualified. As a young lad Carl he had the opportunity to work for a team GB mechanic. Even though Ramsbottom Cycles is a relatively new shop, Carl has already established himself as the go to mechanic for many local athletes looking to get an excellent quality level of expertise and reliability. He knows what athletes are looking for in the level of service required to get the most out of each bike mechanically. Offering services from a basic puncture repair to building bikes of the highest standard. Carl prides himself on being honest, reliable, knowledgeable and committed to his customers.

“I’ve always tried to go above and beyond for my customers. I remember one year getting a phone call from George Martindale whilst he was racking his bike up in Barcelona to compete in Ironman. He’d had an issue, one of the event bike mechanics had trapped his D12 wire and his race was about to be over before it had started. Whilst speaking to George I was online trying to get a flight booked to Barcelona to fix his bike, knowing the hard work and effort he had put into his training I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing. Luckily a local shop owner managed to fix it for him, and he went on to a podium finish for his age group! I often wonder how many shop owners would be prepared to close the shop and fly to another country to fix a bike. I take pride in the quality of my work and the dedication to each athlete”
